Corporate Philosophy

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Good governance is important to us, and this manifests in several areas of our operations and, for want of a better phrase, our corporate philosophy. Here we provide a short and open summary.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

We are a distributed business. From its inception (prior to the remote working that COVID forced upon us all), the business has not had a central premises but rather has operated remotely.

We use technology very effectively in this regard, and work to minimise our travel. Not only is this environmentally beneficial, but it makes good business sense, as we know that clients want to pay for our advice rather than our travel expenses.

HEALTH & WELLBEING

Our Associates are entitled to as much time as they want away from the business, to pursue whatever interests they wish. We have a policy, in particular, of supporting any of their charitable endeavours through sponsorship.

We also provide extensive support if they are under pressure with their engagements and responsibilities to ensure that their work with us is pleasurable and fulfilling.

ENHANCING PEOPLE & LIVELIHOODS

Our approach to bringing in and developing Associates is based solely on their skills. We provide support for their onward development and training as needed, be that into specialist areas or different sectors. This support is in the form of training, mentoring, buddying-up and more.

We aim with every Associate to up-skill them, increasing their value, confidence and income.

We welcome candidates for internships as well wherever possible. We provide time either at reduced rates or entirely free of charge to several charities in order to allow them to access advisory services that might otherwise be out of reach.

GOVERNANCE

All of our engagements, our management of data, and respect for privacy are held to the highest standards of ethics and responsibility, beyond the compliance demanded by statutory requirements.

We reject or end engagements that breach our expectations of ethical behaviour or moral integrity, with no regard to the financial impact of such decisions.
